Boys Junior Varsity Volleyball, Boys Varsity Volleyball · FHS Varsity Boys Volleyball to play biggest match in program history

Fishers re-established their boys volleyball program in 2015 and in only their 3rd season, they have made it as one of the eight state finalists in this year’s tournament. The field is full of veteran programs that have been to the quarterfinals many times over. Fishers is the only newcomer this year.
Your #6 Tigers are headed to Southport High School tonight to play in this year’s state tournament quarterfinals against #3 Roncalli at 8pm.
The schedule for this year state tournament weekend includes other quarterfinals matches also tonight at 6p and 8p. Tomorrow morning at 11am are the semi final matches, then at 1pm, the IBVCA celebrates their all-state match, featuring the top players from all the programs. Chase Christiansen and Mario Capo will represent Fishers. Based on results tonight and tomorrow, Lucas Hoffman and Kaleb Clark may also participate in the all-state match.
Around 2:30p, IBVCA celebrates excellence in academic achievements by announcing the Junior and Senior Academic All-State awards. Fishers is proud of the many players that qualified to be nominated for these awards, juniors Alex Williams, Christian Ibrahim and Suraj Markani and seniors Connor Krehbiel, Lucas Hoffman, Matt Conaway, Phil Tran and Revanth Guttikonda. We are beyond proud of the excellence these players have exhibited in the classroom!
Then around 3:30p, the 2017 IBVCA championship match will take place.
On another news, for the first time, some of the schools recognized conference play. All the schools in the Hoosiers Crossroads Conference except for Westfield have a boys volleyball program and decided to establish the Indiana Crossroads Boys Volleyball Conference. Your Tigers finished second in conference play with a record of 4-1, only loss to the conference champion and #2 seed in the state tournament Noblesville.
Earning all conference honors were Chase Christiansen and Mario Capo as All ICBVC Team, and Lucas Hoffman and Kaleb Clark as All ICBVC Honorable Mention. Also, coach Carlos Capo was voted by the other coaches as the ICBVC Coach of the Year. We are very proud of everyone’s achievements this season.
The work is not over yet. Come support and cheer on your Tigers as they play in their biggest match in our young program history! See you at Southport at 8p tonight!
Go Tigers!
