Boys Junior Varsity Volleyball, Boys Varsity Volleyball · FHS Boys Volleyball heads into State Tournament Ranked #6

The boys volleyball varsity team ends the regular season on a 5-game winning streak and an overall record of 27-11 and 25-8 for in-state matches.
In three short seasons as a club sport, they host their first-ever Regional Championships Saturday, May 13th in our Aux Gym #1. All students get in FREE!!
The semi-finals for Regionals #6 will both be played at 10am featuring #22 North Central vs #11 Brebeuf Jesuit and #27 Avon vs #6 Fishers. The winners of each match meet in the Regional championship match at 12:30pm, also on Aux Gym #1.
The Tigers offense is anchored by senior middle-hitter Chase Christiansen, who recently committed to play DII men’s volleyball at Alderson Broaddus in W. Virginia and leads the state in total kills with 339. Also expected to contribute significantly to the offense is sophomore outside-hitter Mario Capo, who is 5th in the state wtih 171 total kills. Feeding the offense is senior setter Kaleb Clark, 2nd in the state with a total of 624 assists.
We expect a lot of pressure on the other team’s serve receive from senior outside-hitter Connor Krehbiel, currently ranked #2 in the state with a total of 59 serving aces.
The defense will be anchored by senior libero Lucas Hoffman, 4th in the state with 266 total digs. Also key to the defense is Chase, ranked #1 in the state with a total of 111 blocks. Defensive specialists junior Christian Ibrahim, senior Vidal Alvarez and junior Ethan Fairfield are expected to make key plays for the defense.
Significant contributions are expected from sophomore outside-hitter Parker Beale, senior right-side hitter Matt Conaway, sophomore middle-hitter Luke Moritz and sophomore outside/right-side hitter Will McCord, as they fill-in for injured starters senior middle-hitter Revanth Guttikonda and senior right-side hitter Phil Tran.
