Game Recap

The Tigers look to keep their two win streak going with a win against Heritage Christian High School. A win will mean the sixth at home win for the Tigers.

The first goal from the Tigers comes from an attackman Daniel Palladino, which is his first goal of the season. After the Tigers set up in a 1-4-1 formation to dodge from the top of the box, Daniel makes a timely cut through Heritage’s defense. Daniel’s first goal is assisted by Everett Bindley, this dynamic duo go on to score another goal late in the first quarter. A couple minutes later the Tigers score another goal, this time from Collin Worley, which also won’t be his last goal this game. This goal is assisted by Noah Ayala. Andrew Borkowski is next up to score a goal, which comes unassisted. Dodging hard down the alley, Andrew Borkowski beats his man and snipes one past the goaltender. To finish off the first quarter the dynamic duo score another goal to bring the Tiger’s lead to 4-1.

For majority of the second quarter the Tigers have possession of the ball, the second quarter is dominated by the Tiger’s offense. One of the many Tiger’s offensive possessions last upwards to 3 minutes long. They set up dodge after dodge and take several shots. Jonah Dunnuck is the first to put one in the back of the net in the second quarter. This is Jonah’s first goal of the season and won’t be his last this game. Everett also adds a goal late in the second, pushing the Tigers lead to 6-1. In the second quarter the Tigers take 15 shots and cause 8 turnovers.

After the first half Heritage Christian come out fired up, ready to reduce the gap between themselves and the Tigers. However, the Tigers are the only ones to score in the third quarter. Noah Ayala gets his first of three late in the third quarter. After backdoor cutting, Noah receives a pass from Andrew Borkowski and shoots high to low past the goaltender.

In the fourth quarter the Tigers add 5 more goals to their lead of 7-1. These goals come from Collin Worley, Andrew Borkowski, Jonah Dunnuck and 2 from Noah Ayala. The Tigers end the game 12-2, a great win for the Tigers. 6 different players score during this game and 9 different players gain points from assists or goals this game. The Tigers really show Christian Heritage that they have depth on their team and every one of them are threats when they possess the ball.
