Meet Recap

The Fishers High School Girls Swimming and Diving Team continued it’s undefeated season winning an exciting IHSAA Girls Sectional Championships held at Fishers HS. The Tigers were led by Senior Lauryn Parrish who won the 200 Free for the 4th straight year, as well as the 100 Free. Senior Maddie Folta won the Diving. Sophomore Samantha Hietpas won the 500 Free. Fishers swept the Free Relays, winning the 200 Free Relay in a new school record time of 1:34.85. That relay was made up of Amilia Nusbaum, Ellen Fero, Kyla Srncik and Lauryn Parrish. The champion 400 Free Relay included Nusbaum, Abby Jahns, Morgan Booth and Parrish. All winners qualify for the State Championships held on Friday and Saturday at the IUPUI Natatorium in downtown Indianapolis. Other automatic State qualifiers for the Tigers: Emma Gillespie and Savannah Kennedy in the 200 IM; Amilia Nusbaum in the 50 and 100 Freestyles; Kyla Srncik in the 50 Freestyle; Nicole Rueff set a new school record qualifying in the 100 Butterfly along with teammate Lizzy Pfeifer; Morgan Booth and Abby Jahns in the 500 Freestyle; Ally Sperring in the 100 Breast; and the 200 Medley Relay of Corinne Yorkman, Sperring, Lizzy Pfeifer and Kyla Srncik.
