Athletes giving back for the holidays
Winter sports are in full swing with Fishers High School athletes are practicing, competing, and representing their school. Off-season athletes are working out after school in an effort to prepare for upcoming seasons. High school athletics, otherwise known as education-based athletics, provide student-athletes with opportunities to compete and to represent their community.
Over the past few weeks, Fishers High School athletes and coaches have been putting their efforts into giving back and serving those in need this Holiday Season. Fishers High School would like to highlight the compassion of these young athletes and applaud their efforts.
Boys Soccer team stuffed and donated 50 Build-A-Bears to the Fishers Police Department and the children’s wing at Community North HS.
Softball filled Break Boxes for Love Indiana (food boxes for students in need over the holiday break).
Boys basketball unloaded and loaded trucks for the Good Samaritan Network Food Drive.
