Game Recap

The Fishers Tigers Varsity Baseball team (3-1/0-0) won a back and forth battle with Sycamore (TN) by a score of 9-8. The teams traded punches in the first 4 innings. With the score tied 8-8 in the top of the 6th, Sophomore Andy Bennett delivered a 2-out RBI double that plated Sophomore Brendan Toungate from 1st. Toungate had walked earlier in the inning.

Junior Christian Chapman (1-0) threw 3 scoreless innings of no hit ball in relief for his 1st victory of the year. Junior Cameron Boyd came on in relief in the 1st inning with bases loaded and no outs. Boyd pitched 4 relief innings giving up 3 unearned runs, while striking out 4.

The Tigers surrendered 5 runs in the 1st, but responded with 2 runs in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd to tie the score 5-5. The Tigers took an 8-6 lead with 3 more runs in the 3rd before Sycamore tied the score 8-8 in the 4th.

Offensively, Senior Brandon Yoho and Sophomore Caleb Brenczewski each clobbered 2-run homeruns. Senior Joe Michel and Sophomore Luke Duermit both added doubles in the victory.
