Meet Recap

The boy’s track & field team improved their dual / triangular meet record for the season to 2-0 with a 92-40 victory over the Mt. Vernon Marauders on Wednesday evening. The following Tigers won individual events on the track or in the field: Matthieu Picard (110 meter high hurdles, 17.62, and 300 intermediate hurdles, 44.82), Daniel Montes (400 meter run, 52.11), Peter Werling (800 meter run, 2:00.57), Jalen Moss (200 meter dash, 23.53), Trevor Thompson (3200 meter run, 9:47.90), Tres Carver (long jump, 22’ 8½”), Noah Rogers ( high jump, 5’ 10” ), Cameron Kosegi ( discus, 139’ 6” ), and Christian Smith ( shot put, 47’ 10½” ). The Tigers also were victorious in all three relays: 4 x 800 in 8:35.47 ( Thompson, T. Strobel, Kleist, Werling ), 4 x 100 in 44.09 ( Carver, Hernandez, Burrell, Rogers ), and 4 x 400 in 3:34.00 ( Burrell, Moss, Lorkowski, Montes ). The Tigers will take to the track again on Tuesday, April 14th ( after they return from spring break ) in their only triangular meet of the season against North Central and Lawrence Central ( @ NC ).
