Game Recap

Fishers stormed back from an 0-2 deficit to defeat Hamilton Southeastern in an HCC Mudsock showdown. The Tigers showed character and resolve to improve to 11-1 on the season.
Junior setter Rose Duffy delivered 50 assists and dug 16 attacks in a match where her leadership was even more valuable.
Senior outside Mallory Hernandez hit 27 kills on 59 attempts and really carried the load at the net. Others were crucial to the team’s success, though. Junior outside Audrey Haworth was second in kills with 14, junior middle Haley Soper had seven kills and zero errors, and freshman opposite Camryn Haworth hit 0.216 with six kills.
Junior libero Emma Rosenberg had 21 digs and was miraculous in reading the game in the 4th and 5th sets.
Senior middle Elizabeth Weeks led Fishers with 3.0 blocks. The most important block of the night was on the first rally of the 3rd set when Weeks and C. Haworth blocked the Royals’ outside hitter straight down. That set the tone for the rest of the match and set up the comeback.
Fishers returns to action Tuesday at top-10 Yorktown.
