The Fishers boys varsity lacrosse team finished the 2017 season with a 12-7 overall record and their fourth straight winning season. The team qualified for the Indiana High School Lacrosse Association (IHSLA) state tournament and is ranked #9 in the state of Indiana and will travel to St. Joseph’s High School in South Bend, IN this Wednesday May 24th for a 7:00pm first round tournament game.

2017 IHSLA First Round Tournament matchup, #8 versus #9:

When #8 St. Joseph’s High School (12-6) hosts #9 Fishers High School (12-7) tomorrow evening this will be the first time each school will play each other in their history. Statistically these two teams appear to be evenly matched as each team averages similar goals scored per game and goals allowed per game.

Goals Scored:
St. Joe’s – 169 Goals (9.38 goals/game)
Fishers – 193 Goals (10.15 goals/game)

Goals Allowed:
St. Joe’s – 133 Goals (7.38 goals/game)
Fishers – 143 Goals (7.52 goals/game)

Notable wins for St. Joseph’s are a pair of one goal wins against Guerin Catholic and #4 Culver Academy. Fishers most notable win was a one goal game against Hilliard Davidson from Columbus, OH where the Tigers won 8-7.

The Tigers are eager to begin the next chapter of the 2017 season and will certainly be challenged when matching up against the #8 seed St. Joseph’s tomorrow evening.
