Game Recap

The Tigers Varsity Boys Basketball team was in action tonight at home for their last home matchup of the season against the Kokomo Wildkats. In the 1st quarter, the Tigers led the way with a lineup of 5 Seniors on Senior night. They started out with a ton of energy and were leading 12-9 at the end of the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Wildkats made a run of their own and cut the lead to one going into half time with a score of 23-22. In the 3rd quarter, the Wildkats made a huge run and outscored the Tigers 16-7, ending the quarter with a score of 30-38. In the 4th quarter, the Tigers came back and tied the ballgame but it was not enough to overcome the Wildkats. The Tigers lost their last home game of the season on Senior night with a final score of 50-53. The Tigers were led in scoring by Jeremy Szilagyi, Jamil Turner-Hall, and Connor Washburn with 8 points each. Willie Jackson and Armaan Franklin both added 7 points in the contest. Senior Reid Stevens added 4 points in the game while Seniors Joe Counts and Stevie Sontich both contributed to the contest with 3 points. Senior Jack Hargens scored 2 points for the Tigers. The Tigers are now 10-12 on the season and 4-3 in conference play. The Tigers are back in action on the road for their final regular season game against the number one team in the state, the Warren Central Warriors on Friday, February 24th with a 7:30 pm tip-off.
