The Fishers High School Boys Rugby Team won the Rugby Indiana Division I State Championship this past weekend.  The Varsity team finished the season with a record of 10-5 and outscored their opponents 549-197.  Against division opponents, the team was undefeated and averaged a margin of victory of over 35 points!  The Tigers peaked at the right time defeating all teams in the state tournament by a combined score of 203-3.  The state tournament opponents were Marian, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger and Avon.  The team was led by their seniors with State Championship MVP honors going to senior Trent Nielson.

The JV squad also locked up a state championship in Division I JV bracket.  JV finished with an overall record of 8-2 on the season.  The team defeated Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 48-3 to advance to the final game where they defeated HSE 63-0.  The JV team played with great energy and was led by their State Championship MVP Mason Miller.  In their final 6 games, the JV Tigers only allowed 10 points to be scored against them.
